Trout Creek Lodge on Bulkley

Private-ranch steelhead fishing on British Columbia's Bulkley River, with dry-fly focus, small capacity, and exceptional access.

The Bulkley ranks among the most spectacular steelhead rivers in British Columbia. Trout Creek Lodge sits on a private 80-acre ranch on a high bluff overlooking an inside bend of some of the Bulkley River's finest and least accessible steelhead water.

The lodge looks straight downstream, with no neighbor in sight and Hudson Bay Mountain off the front deck. Guests fish a small, flexible program with private launch access, veteran guides, and the ability to reach water that other programs cannot.

The Fishing

Dry-Fly Steelhead on the Bulkley

Each day, guides pick up guests to fish a different stretch of water or depart by jet boat from the private launch. Dry-fly fishing is a core strength, especially for anglers who have never fished steelhead and want to see aggressive fish in shallow water.

The lodge's location puts guests five minutes by jet boat from both canyons on the Bulkley. A whitewater jet boat expands access into water that many anglers simply cannot reach.

Why Trout Creek

Small Numbers and a Better Angle on the River

The charm of Trout Creek is its privacy, small guest count, and ability to shape the week around the anglers in camp. Most weeks run four anglers, which gives the team room to be flexible both on and off the water.

The ranch location is one of the strongest anywhere on the river, with views, access, and a program built for anglers who want a more personal Bulkley experience.
