Brooks Creek Ranch

Luxury fly fishing in Fernie, British Columbia, with private ranch solitude and access to the Elk River and nearby trout waters.

Brooks Creek Ranch is Fernie's newest luxury fly fishing lodge, located on the banks of the Elk River on a private ranch surrounded by wilderness. The ranch sits close to some of British Columbia's and Alberta's best trout fisheries, where the fishing pressure is low by comparison to the American West.

The property is every bit as important as the fishing: single rooms, en suite bathrooms, expansive living spaces, sauna, hot tub, fire gazebo, game room, bar, and an off-grid riverfront setting with no neighbors for miles. The result is a quiet, highly personalized trout week built around flexibility, cuisine, and wilderness comfort.

The Fishing

Fernie Trout Water Without the Crush

Fly fishing in Fernie gives anglers a gateway to trout water that is far less crowded than many rivers south of the border. The Elk River offers floating and wading opportunities, with westslope cutthroat and bull trout as the primary species near the lodge.

Beyond the Elk, guests can explore mountain streams, the St. Mary River, and alpine lakes, giving the week room to shift with weather, hatches, and guest preference.

Why Brooks Creek

Small Capacity, Deep Comfort, Complete Privacy

Brooks Creek Ranch is a six-person operation, which allows the staff to customize fishing, food, and daily rhythm around the guests in camp. The privacy of the ranch adds a level of solitude that is hard to find in a modern trout lodge.

It is a strong fit for anglers who want excellent fishing but care just as much about where they sleep, eat, gather, and unwind.
